Cricket will return with a series between England and West Indies, regular captain of England team who will not be part of the Root match

With the series between England and West Indies starting on 8 July, cricket will also be back again. No cricket has been played since March due to coronavirus and in the meantime several important tours have been postponed. The 3-match Test series played between England and West Indies is going to be quite important.

The last time a series between the West Indies and England teams took place was last year, when England were beaten 2–1 by the Windies team. Although this series is not going to be easy for the West Indies at all, England can benefit from domestic conditions.

However, Root, who will not be a part of the match, will be the regular captain of the England team, in his absence, Ben Stokes will be captaining the team. There will be a lot of challenge for them in this match.

Match detail
Date: 8–12 July, 2020

Time: 3:30 PM (Indian time)

Venue: Rose Bowl, Southampton

Pitch report
This is the start of the Summer of England and no county game has been played here. For this reason, fast bowlers can get a lot of help here. Although the Rouge Bowl wicket is better for batting, but still the team's eye will want to take advantage of the pitch by winning the toss and bowling first.

Expected playing eleven of England and West Indies
England: Rory Burns, Dominic Sibley, Jack Crowley, Ollie Pope, Joe Denue, Ben Stokes (captain), Jose Butler (wicketkeeper), Dom Bess, Joffra Archer, Stuart Broad and James Anderson.

West Indies: Craig Braithwaite, John Campbell, Shai Hope, Shamrah Brooks, Roston Chase, Jermaine Blackwood, Shane Dowrich (wicketkeeper), Jason Holder (captain), Kemar Roach, Aljari Joseph and Shannon Gabriel.

Match prediction
England's team is going to play in their home conditions and it will definitely benefit. However, if the West Indies team manages to dominate the England batsmen, then the thrill of the match can increase. However, if the two teams are compared, then only the England team can win the match and get a 1-0 lead in the series.
