AGENCY: The first match of the three-match T20I series between the two powerhouses of world cricket, Australia and England, is being played today. The game will start in Southampton after 10:45 pm Nepali time.

Australia tops the T20I rankings, followed by England. There is a challenge in this series to keep Australia at the top. England has a chance to rise to the top. Australia has David Warner, Aaron Finch, and Glenn Maxwell as attacking batsmen. Here in England, captain Owen Morgan, Tom Banton, and Joe Butler are known for their aggressive batting.
Joffra Archer, a bouncer in England, is on the Australian team, while Mitchell Starc, a Yorker who can bowl at the fastest pace at the moment, is on the team. The competition between the two best teams in world cricket is expected to be fierce.
Openers Aaron Finch and David Warner will try to give the team a good start. Australia can easily make a huge total of these two batsmen who are known for their aggressive batting. Number three is Steve Smith and number four is Marnus Labussen.

Labuschagne who has consistently performed well in Tests and ODIs, is looking forward to his T20I debut. Labuschagne, who has scored a century in practice T20 games, is likely to be replaced by Australia in place of Mitchell Marsh. At number five, Australia is likely to field attacking batsman Glenn Maxwell.
Maxwell is expected to have an excellent attacking big innings. If Labusen is not given a chance, he will be dropped to the fourth position. Wicketkeeper Alex Kerry and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis will bat in the lower order. Both are in a good rhythm.
Adam Jumpa's place in the spinner is definitely there. Nathan Lion and Aston Agar will be given a chance. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins are also expected to make their debut as fast bowlers.

So far, the home team England has not given a chance to Joe Root in the T20 team. England's strategy seems to be focused on the upcoming World Cup. The opening will be done by young batsmen Tom Banton and Johnny Bairstow.
England wants a similar start from Banton, a young attacking batsman who has done well in the series against Pakistan. David Malan will be third and captain Owen Morgan will be fourth. Morgan's batting will be very important for England. It could be difficult for the Australian bowler to stop Morgan, who is in excellent form.
Number five will be wicketkeeper Jas Butler. Butler, who was named Man of the Series in the Test series against Pakistan, will try to continue the same performance in the T20 series. Moin Ali is batting at number six.
England could field Chris Jordan, Joffrey Archer, and Mark Wood as fast bowlers. Adil Rashid will be the spinner. With Ben Stokes not available for personal reasons, Sam Curran could play as an all-rounder.

The last time these two countries played a single T20I game was in 2018. England won by 28 runs. England had scored 221 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in that match. Australia was bowled out for 193 in pursuit of the target.
A total of 16 T20I matches have been played between Australia and England so far. Australia has won nine and lost six. One game was without result. Australia captain Aaron Finch is 11 runs behind to complete 2,000 runs in T20I career.
After Finch's superb 156 against England in 2013, Australia was 248 for six. Finch last scored 84 against England in 2018. Finch could be fatal to England.
